The Hacktory's Robot Universe Showdown

This is a celebration of creativity, technical innovation, community, and fun! Join us for an epic showdown of all kinds of robots. 10-1 pm is a Robot-Building Workshop. Stop by and construct a bot to compete! Beginners and young makers: come build your own bot to battle it out in the Featherweight class, Kit class, or score points for creativity in the ArtBot class. Experienced robot enthusiasts: come to compete for cash prizes in the Heavyweight or Remote-controlled classes. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend, spectators are welcome. This event was inspired in part by the Japanese Hebocon Event, or “Robot Battle for the Technically Un-gifted" and will feature sumo-style 1-minute battles. To win, your bot needs to engage in a "battle" by touching the competitor, then just stay in the ring and not fall over. We have tons of great prizes, including a grand prize of a complete 3D printer kit, provided by SeeMeCNC ($1000 value)!
