Chris Hunter

I work for Urban Outfitters brands (URBN) building next generation eCommerce experiences. I operate at the confluence of fast fashion and even faster technology decisions. I love working with really smart people and delivering high quality software that matters. I'm currently managing ~40 UI engineers in our continued endeavor to build cutting edge UIs across all brands.

I started at URBN by helping to develop the mobile engineering program where we delivered the UO, Anthropologie and Free People iOS experiences. I continued to grow this program while moving into a role of co-architect on our "A15" replatform project. I worked on an amazing team delivering a new service oriented architecture which will power all of our brands. I personally contributed in all aspects including the business logic, scalable services, APIs, storage, infrastructure and core libraries.

Before URBN I worked on a large streaming video platform, start-ups, higher education and consulting gigs that varied from DevOps to User Interface engineering and everything in between. I have a background in computer science as well as a degree in management and Economics from Drexel University LeBow College of Business.
