Michael Hollander
Bio
Michael Hollander is a Supervising Attorney at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, where he has worked since he joined the organization in September 2008 as a Skadden Fellow. His practice focuses on a wide range of employment issues including wage theft issues (especially among Latino immigrants); collections; expungements, pardons, and other issues facing individuals with criminal records; child abuse appeals; discrimination claims; unemployment compensation; and violations of the Fair Credit and Reporting Act. In working on wage cases, Michael has worked to develop the knowledge base among legal services lawyers on the collections process and has, for the past four years, run a monthly national conference call on collections issues. Mr. Hollander received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2008, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia with Highest Honors in 2001, where he studied Systems Engineering and History.
